My transformational health habits in 2025 (links below)


1. Regular collagen and red light. Now I notice when I skip it

I have taken 10g of collagen daily throughout 2025 and this has been one of the most consistent habits I have stuck to.

My skin looks smoother and calmer, and breakouts have reduced massively. Somewhere along the way I stopped wearing foundation completely without making a conscious decision to do so.

2. No alcohol since July 2025

This one surprised me the most as I was only going to do it for the summer.

I stopped drinking alcohol in July, not that I ever drank loads but I expected it to feel hard, restrictive, or socially awkward at parties and events. It really hasn't felt like that.

The biggest win for me has been no post alcohol anxiety. That low mood, racing thoughts, and emotional dip used to hit me hard .

I wake up fresh even after late nights. My sleep is better. My mood is more stable. And I still go out and enjoy myself.

It made me realise how much it doesn't suit me. 6 months in so far, let's see what happens!

 

3. Fibre focused eating. Yes this includes poo talk

I aimed for around 30g of fibre most days. Not perfectly. Not obsessively. Just intentionally.

The difference in digestion was noticeable very quickly. Regular, predictable poo. I am comfortable talking about that because it matters.

My sugar cravings calmed down. My mood feels steadier. Meals feel more satisfying instead of constantly needing snacks.

Fibre has been one of the most underrated changes I have made for both gut health and mental wellbeing.

4. Front loading my day with healthy habits

This has been a game changer for busy days.

I get the important things done early, before life starts throwing curveballs. A pint of water + lemon, a health shot (linked above), a cuppa tea - CRUCIAL, with a spoonful of collagen.

If the rest of the day goes sideways, I am not starting from zero. That alone has taken away so much all or nothing thinking around health.

Mornings feel calmer and more intentional. Busy days feel less chaotic because I have already looked after myself.

5. Sleep tracking. An unexpected favourite

I started sleep tracking with Oura Ring and did not expect it to change much. I was wrong.

Learning my chronotype and ideal bed and wake times explained so much about why I felt tired at certain points of the day. I stopped fighting my natural rhythm and started working with it.

My energy levels are noticeably better. Focus and productivity improved without me trying harder or adding more caffeine.
